SEE YOU SOON!

We look forward to hearing from you, be it email or by phone, and to making music with you or your child soon! Always looking for students and always enrolling, now is the time to start. When you call or email us we will set up a time, and let you know how to get here (don't want to post our address everywhere for everyone to see!)

Looking forward to making music with you!

Welcome to our website! We appreciate you taking the time to visit our site, and hope you'll send us an email or give us a call.

We are new to North Carolina from New Hampshire, and moved down here to the South to pursue our dreams! Nick is already making headway with in professional Bluegrass, and I am hot on the trail to becoming a school Music Teacher!

Having our own Music Studio has been one of our dreams, so we put our energy and time into making it happen and here it is! It means so much to us that we can be a part of this musical community, city, and region, and provide it's citizens with AFFORDABLE lessons! Trust us, we know all too well how some musicians will charge an arm and a leg, and hate to see anyone miss the chance to learn because of it.

February 10, 2013

Boy, have we been busy! Here's the rundown:

December: between Christmas shopping, performances, new jobs and a roadtrip to NH and back we had quite the month! One thing is for sure though - next time we visit up north, we fly. And that's that.

January: a visit from Nick's brother, Nick getting picked up by "Nick Chandler & Delivered," Maegan joining the Asheville and Hendersonville Community Bands, and voice lessons (that's right, we're students too!) we had another jam packed month. Nick even picked up another mandolin student (apparently the cool instrument to play), and our day jobs to top it off.

This month: we aren't backing off in February! So if you want to start up lessons, give us a call before we get booked!

And now some words of wisdom for all the parents out there:

Is your child taking lessons? Is your child not making as much progress as you'd hoped? It's probably not your child's fault (it might be, but pay attention to the next part)
Is your child taking lessons? Is your child not making as much progress as you'd hoped? It's probably not your child's fault (it might be, but pay attention to the next part)

Not every teacher is right for every student! We all have different learning and teaching styles, and sometimes the two just don't mesh. It doesn't mean the teacher is awful or the student is lazy, it just means your child needs a different teacher and a different approach!

Nick and I have had students from all kinds of musical backgrounds - from zero experience to having learned from some great teachers and programs. They all have one thing in common: they want to play. That's why I studied how children learn music, what approaches work best, and how to tailor a concept to reach each kind of learner.

Yes, the Suzuki method and Orff method and Kodaly method are wonderful, but if your child doesn't learn that way they just won't work. A combination of all the methods plus my experiences have helped me figure out how to reach each of my students.

So try a new teacher before your kid jumps out of the musical boat, and give us a call! We'll either book you a lesson here, or refer you to a teacher we know fits the needs of you and your child. Hope to hear from you soon!
